A Freebie in My Mail

Yesterday, in my post about Making Your Own Yearbook, I mentioned that Shutterfly is one of my favorite sites for personalized photo products, like yearbooks [affiliate link].

If you haven’t signed up for an account with Shutterfly, what are you waiting for [affiliate link]? It’s free to sign up, and you don’t even have to order anything right away.

The nice thing about getting an account and opting to receive their email notices of deals and promotions is that they occasionally offer free stuff. Now, sometimes, they’re offering a photo magnet or address labels, which is ok. But, other times, they may offer you something like this …

A personalized photo calendar, without any sales, costs around $21. (Of course, we had to cover taxes and shipping, but for this item, we only spent $6.) So, I wasted no time jumping on this deal because I have been wanting to give our parents a nice gift. The calendar arrived yesterday, and I was so excited to give it to them that I totally forgot to take a picture.

So, you’ll have to take my word for it … it turned out great! And, what’s even better is that it was free!

  1. Nice!
I have used Shutterfly as well. Lately I’ve been going with Walgreens because they always have a special coupon code, but I’m sure Shutterfly has plenty too!

    1. Our closest drugstore is CVS. They probably have similar deals to Walgreen’s, but I wasn’t too impressed with their photo services. I ordered a small photo book because I had a “free” coupon. They basically stapled the prints together and stuck a plastic cover around the whole thing … voila! A photo book! It was free, so I guess I got what I didn’t pay for.
