My Little Artist

I started this blog in March, and it’s been quite an interesting ride so far. Thank you to all of those who have taken the time to read and comment. The feedback is invaluable, especially when I’m wondering if I should keep this up in addition to all the other things on my plate. Before I published my first post, I knew what I wanted to write about, but the design and look of this site is another story. This blog went through more transformations and renovations than my home. Of course, it’s a lot cheaper changing my blog header than the tiles in my bathroom. But, I’m not a designer … not even close. So there was my dilemma.

I have to recognize the one responsible for all the beautiful art that has graced the front page of this space. My daughter has lent her talent in drawing and coloring to bring life to this blog. Thank you, JJ!

Every once in a while, I will feature a few of her works here. And, I’m sure art from my other children will find their way here as well. Welcome to the grand opening of JJ’s Gallery!

  1. Those are really great drawings!! She’s definitely got a future in art. 😀
I love the new tabs in your sidebar and your blog button is so cute!

    1. Aww, thank you, Valerie! I had a question for you about blog buttons. I made one, but it looks blurry. Do you know what size a blog button should typically be?

      1. They are usually 175×175 or 200×200. If yours is larger than that, you can easily change it by going to http://pixlr.com/express/ Click browse and choose your image, click adjustments, click resize, change the size. Click apply. Click save in the top left corner, and you’re done. 🙂 If it’s smaller…I don’t really know! 😛

  2. I think that it’s so cool that your daughter is involved in your blog design process and she does make great graphics. I just had a blog makeover and it was tedious but I did it by myself so it was worth it. 🙂

    1. It’s funny because now she’s asking me if anyone commented or liked her drawings. The next thing she might ask to see is the blog stats to find out how many hits she received. I think we have a future blogger in the making! 🙂
